# Edit a region with Snip

Capture the area you mean and describe the change.

## Choose the area

Open the component and wait for the preview to finish. Identify the region that contains the change you want.

## Capture and edit

### 1. Start Snip

Use Snip a component region in the composer.

### 2. Drag around the target

Include enough context to distinguish it from similar elements.

### 3. Check the attachment

Confirm the correct area appears. Remove it and capture again if needed.

### 4. Describe the change

Explain what should change inside the region and what should stay nearby.

### 5. Inspect the result

Check both the target and the rest of the component after the edit.

## If the region is ambiguous

Try a larger capture or select one element with hover editing. A crop identifies a visual area, which may span multiple code elements.

Clear the snip before asking for an unrelated change.
