# Point to an element

Inspect the visible interface and ask for a precise change.

## Find the element

Hover over a rendered component to see the element’s label and dimensions. The floating prompt lets you describe a change for that target.

Check the highlight before editing. A nested control or repeated item can look similar to its neighbors.

## Make a focused edit

### 1. Hover the target

Move to the text, button, image, or container you want to change and inspect its feedback.

### 2. Enter your request

Use the floating prompt to describe the visible outcome. Explain any nearby relationship that matters.

### 3. Review the result

Check the target and the surrounding interface after the edit completes. Retarget if the structure changed.

## Inspect spacing

Hold Option on Mac or Alt on Windows while hovering to inspect spacing. The overlay shows relationships such as padding, gaps, or separation around the target.

Use the measurements to guide a request. Inspecting a value does not change it by itself.

## Choose the right scope

Use Snip for a group of elements or an area that is hard to target individually. Use the main composer for a whole-component change.

If a preview is still loading or its source changed, wait for it to settle and select the target again.
